011 + DO NOT LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON YOUR ANGER [VIDEO]

[Observe: one VERY affected Castiel. That usually passive face? A sulk. The epic sulk of a teenager who hasn't gotten what he wanted, as a matter of fact.]

Okay, look, boat.

Here's something that like, ticks me off. A lot. Seriously, a super lot.

Everyone just buys the whole multidimensional boat thing. That's totally sensible! Like, makes absolutely perfect sense! Seriously! No one ever like, questions this? I mean, to makes perfect sense. But I'm a cosmic being. Millenia old. Could squash you all like bugs. So this kind of thing, it's like, you know, whatever.

But! The fact that I'm an angel - oh, that's the unlikely part. Come on, really?! You can suspend your middling human disbelief in, like, "multidimensional boat" but "messenger of God" is what gets you? Seriously, how does that even make any sense? Half of you already believe in God! So believing in me should be easy! But no, not for me. I have to prove myself. And then half of you don't believe me anyway!

None of you understand me.

[ Okay, you're a nutcase. ]

...Totally.

Why not just get a new job, if your dad is such a shithead? Sorry -- since he's unavailable.

Because you can't be made out of grace! That's like saying you're made out of sunshine. Or happiness. That's kid's show bullshit.
maybebatman: (gurl u sure?)

[personal profile] maybebatman 2012-04-28 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah? What makes you so sure he ain't just stringing us all along with those big secret plans of his?
maybebatman: (is that so?)

[personal profile] maybebatman 2012-04-28 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing, that's what. Maybe he got tired of whiny little angels and decided to call it quits.
marshal_art: (no shit)

[personal profile] marshal_art 2012-04-28 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. Well, that's all right then. Better than I expected even.

Sure but--no offense to our Father--promises don't usually turn out as nice as they sound. There's almost always some kind of catch.
maybebatman: (fuck the police)

[personal profile] maybebatman 2012-04-28 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, sure. You know, we might be better off with him gone, if all the shit going on in the world is a part of his Plan.
marshal_art: (what's next)

[personal profile] marshal_art 2012-04-28 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Geez, everyone's got daddy issues, even angels.]

That why you decided to stop following His plan?

Castiel, come now. It is all right. People will come around. Many have come around to the fact that I have given up wickedness; they just need more time to see the light of your Grace. That's all. It will work out.

At any rate, I always believed, and not just because of the sting. You're the only being I could bring myself to trust to help me. Do I not burn my throat in my eagerness to speak to you of things I once despised?

Dracula himself would bend knee with you because you are both angel and a decent and compassionate being. That is not a small thing!

I'm so sorry, Castiel. But organized religion-- ah it hurts my heart. It reminds me- of him.

[Swoony sigh. Dramatic wall lean.]

[Wrist to forehead]

He was never my lover. It was never meant to be. But I dedicate my life to him. And wish him well. Without me.

[Pine, pine.]

You ain't worried you might cause even more people to die? Doesn't seem like defying God's order ever turns out well.
