BUFFY SUMMERS

She's chosen of heaven, spunky, resistant to orders, and means well. In other words, built for Castiel to like her. He respects her for how well she's taken up the mantle of her destiny and finds it easy and safe to obey her. He'll gladly obey her orders even if that pits him against everyone else. She's a rock in his Barge experience and he's there to patch up any cracks in her foundation.

LESLIE KNOPE

Enthusiastic, driven, optimistic, cheerful, and allegedly funny (Castiel can’t figure this out one way or the other), Leslie is just the kind of human being that Castiel imagines they should all be. Her desire to help others works perfectly with that unbeatable, indestructible charm. What a beautifully glowing soul she is..

BRACHI STILDYNE

If anything, Stildyne's obvious disapproval of his possession of Jimmy as his vessel makes Castiel like him more, not less. It seems to the angel that this man has a strong moral compass and sticks to his values, and even with Stildyne doesn't approve, still helps him out. Definitely a decent human being despite his seemingly empty childhood, and lack of religion and gardens.

MARK HOFFMAN

Anyone who means well for his vessel can't be that bad, though he finds it difficult to get entirely a read on the man. Though it's difficult to reason with humans who don't understand his purpose or his plans (especially considering he doesn't want to tell the whole story), Hoffman seems intelligent and reasonable enough, and Castiel doesn't find his company unbearable at all.

EDDIE NYGMA

To no one's surprise, Nygma is a complete mystery to Castiel. He obviously enjoyed withholding information for no other purpose than to watch another man squirm, and that Eddie knows something about his dead older brother Gabriel unsettles Castiel more, not less. For now, he's more of a threat than Richie, because any attack would certainly be planned in detail, and Castiel can tell Eddie's obviously intelligent enough to make a good plan.

RAISTLIN MAJERE

Anyone who is that ambitious, that confident, and that arrogant despite an obvious disadvantage obviously has a substantial selection of tricks up their sleeve. Add into the fact that Raistlin is at least host to an intently dark spirit and his uncaring, even challenging blasphemy, and Castiel has come to the conclusion that this man isn't to be trusted. Even so, he's extremely curious about everything Raistlin has to offer: his magic, his gods, and his captured soul.

RICHIE GECKO

There's a good person in Richie somewhere, and Castiel can feel it. Somewhere behind the inability to avoid going from Point A to Murder (instead of Point B). Somewhere under the tendency to blame others for his actions and make more enemies than he needs. It's there and Castiel is going to find it in his inmate, for both of them, even if it takes him a millenia to do so.
