Ms. Klein, water potent enough to contain acidophiles is often so acidic it would eat away your pipes, turn bright yellow and orange, and smell terrible. What you've given me is is pool water. Safe for human consumption, with a pH between 7.2 and 7.8 - closer to 7.8, I suspect. Water necessary for the creation of acidophiles usually has pH near 1 or 2.
