He's not violent unless provoked; I wouldn't put it past him to try stealing tools or chemical fertilizer, though I'd say that puts him in common with every Inmate on board.
He has a history of drugging people with sedatives but it's not a hobby. So long as you keep a catalog of plants being grown and inspect any food going out for consumption, which I assume you do anyway, he won't be a problem.
