English is a complex language without adding the fact that many words have different meanings depending on context and culture. Many of the things said imply entirely different and apparently completely arbitrary other things. I don't know how or why one would expect any other being who is not socialized to understand these various meanings to be able to apply them or draw them from a conversation.
